Welcome to The Curiosity Crows! I’m an autistic explorer with a passion for natural sciences and the planet. I create hand-drawn, minimalist, black and white coloring pages—ideal for early finishers, students who need a brain break, or as top-up pages and wet break time fillers. You’ll also find photo bundles of images taken in the days of camera film rolls, perfect for bringing a touch of exploration and nostalgia into your lessons. And paper dolls for top-up activities for your class.

Post It Notes in a Big Pile: Studying, Revision, Notes, Success

(1)
I took these photos as I was writing my ‘Primary School Diaries’ novel, soon to be published on Amazon for ages 8 and up. As part of my planning I had stuck lots of post it notes on the wall to help me order my thoughts, and as I transferred the notes onto my computer, I scrunched each one up and threw it in a pile. The pile could look like failure, but to me it was a picture of success, or breaking down a big task into little bite size chunks, and the pile of screwed up paper growing as I achieved each little task. I hope these photos will inspire students with their own studying or challenges they face.

1940s and World War II Clothing Paper Doll Activity. Explore Wartime Fashion and History

What did people wear in the 1940s? How has fashion changed between then and now? What impact did World War Two have on the clothing people wore? Four cut out and dress dolls as examples of clothing from the 1940s, and four black and white versions for students to colour themselves. Step back in time to the 1940s with this engaging paper doll activity that combines history and creativity. Perfect for exploring World War II-era fashion and societal roles, this resource includes printable paper dolls with authentic wartime clothing styles. Students can learn about utilitarian fashion influenced by wartime rationing, as well as the cultural significance of clothing during the era.
